These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RoadAlert 242, a community road safety application operated by Global Motion LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using RoadAlert 242, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
RoadAlert 242 is a community-powered road safety platform that allows users in the Bahamas to report and receive real-time alerts about road hazards, police checkpoints, and accidents. The app is provided as-is for informational purposes only.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RoadAlert 242. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Reports submitted through RoadAlert 242 are community-sourced and unverified. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any alert. Never rely solely on RoadAlert 242 alerts to make driving decisions. Always obey traffic laws and exercise your own judgment.
By submitting a report, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that report to other users of the app. Reports are anonymised and expire automatically after 60 minutes.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may delete your account at any time by visiting roadalert242.app/delete-account.
RoadAlert 242 offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and are subject to their respective terms. Payments are processed by Stripe and managed by RevenueCat.
RoadAlert 242 and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Global Motion LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app or its content without our express written permission.
RoadAlert 242 is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alerts will be accurate or timely. Road conditions and law enforcement activity change rapidly — community-sourced data is inherently imperfect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Motion LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, RoadAlert 242 — including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on inaccurate alerts, traffic fines, accidents, or loss of data.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of The Bahamas.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
